my lovely pi pi tied a thread to my jeans

Today, I had meet up with my lovely pi pi. We had intended to go for work together. My pi pi noticed mi that I had been walking awkwardly. She realised that it was my jeans I'm wearing was too loose. I have to keep pulling up my jeans while walking. I was in a hurry and had forgotten to wear a belt for my jeans before I gone out of home.

Later on, we went to a nearby supermarket " Sheng Siong" which I needed to buy Shanghai Noodle from there. My lovely pi pi took a small thread and tied it at my jeans, just a small tie up between the ears of the jeans. Wow, it's helps.

From there on, my jeans won't slip off. Once again, Thank you my lovely pi pi, very sweet of u. Love ya. 8D.

An Old man had been cheated by China Woman

Yesterday, I drove to my baby house to fetch her to work. When I reached at my pi block, and was trying to park my van into a parking lots at the multi-storey car park, an old man who was riding on a bicycle had stopped cycling and was looking at me.

He had caught my attention and I was wondering why is this old man staring at mi for ? This old man looks in his late 50s, I thought he might intend to quarrel with mi which something might have offended him. But it's turn out different as what i thought.

The moment I step out of my van, the old man walk up to mi. He spoke in hokkien to mi, he claimed that somebody had been following him around the car park. I was confused. Follow on, he said that the person who follow him is a friend of his China woman's friends.

So I had play along with him, " Why is that so ? " I asked him. He said that he got to know a woman from China and became friends later on. He claimed that he had nothing to do at home while he is jobless and furthermore her daughter had grow up. He was alone and so he had gone to make new friends with some China woman.

"Oh. Really ? " I reply. I continue to walk to my pipi nearby market to buy cigarette, and the old man follows. While he was riding on his bicycle side by side with mi walking towards the market, he said that the China woman had cheated his money, and he emphasized that she had cheated more than $30,000 from him.

"Wow, that's a lots of money ! " I reply.
" It she pretty? " I asked.
" No Lah ! She 38 years old. Not pretty." He said.
" Than why are you giving her so much money ? " mi asked.
" We are friends mah. " he reply.

Ha ha.. that's really sound funny to mi. He also claimed that his China woman took $2800 from him, it was for her air ticket back to China. But later on, he found out that air ticket to China was around $400- $500. He had been cheated for countless similar reasons.

Moreover, he also said that the China woman wanna buy house in China and she needs money again. It's means that she is hinting that this old man would pay for her.

" So did you pay for her ? " I asked.
" No lah ! I got no money liao ! " Old man reply.
" Your CPF got money mah ! " I disturb him.
" No lah ! My CPF also no money liao mah ! " Old man explained.
" Ai ya ! It is you that bring it upon yourself ! You can't blame anyone else. " I said.
" But why she cheat me ? She should go and cheat those young man better than me mah ! " he answer.
" Hum.... Than do you still in contact with her ? " I asked.
" ............ " Old man mumble.
" You should avoid her in anyway. " I said.
" Ya. I had change my Hand phone number liao . " Old man claim.
" So is it still in contact ? " I asked.
" ........................ " Old man.
" Well, you bring it upon yourself. Good luck to you than. " I reply.

As we walked along, I was about to reach the shop, he said thank you to me for listening to him. Than he left and cycled towards the wet market. I quickly call up my pipi, and told her about the story that just happened. Nowadays, it seem like many old man likewise have fallen into China woman's con.

Dinner at Toa Payoh 淉汁 Kuey Chap

After I knock off from work last night, I drove to fetch my lovely baby pipi. When I reach her work place, she would have finish work too. So we will have our dinner together.

We usually go to Bugis to have our dinner. But it's kinda bored that almost every night we went there for dinner. So we were deciding where to go and what kinda of food to eat. Therefore, I had suggested to eat 淉汁 Kuey Chap, since it is one of my princess favourite food, and it had been a long time since we had eaten Kuey Chap. Ha ha. :)

My pipi was excited, so we quickly headed to that 淉汁 Kway Chap stall at Toa Payoh Lorong 4 Blk 93 Hawker Centre. However, we happened to find that the Hawker Centre was under renovations. But luckily, the 淉汁 Kway Chap stall had moved to the nearby coffee shop. :)

We quickly settle down at the coffee shop and quickly order the Kway Chap. Ha ha... The price of the food have remain the same as before. It is cheap and the food is nice too. Finally, my pi and mi had enjoyed our dinner happily. 8D

Every Singaporeans have committed and contributions to our nation

The recently incident of the death of full—time National Serviceman Joe Foo Wei Rong. He had been given medical leave two days from the Singapore General Hospital.

The Defence Ministry said that at about 6.05am, Private Joe Foo Wei Rong, from the 4th Singapore Infantry Regiment, was in the midst of his seventh chin—up, being assisted by a buddy, when he collapsed.

At 6.40am, he was evacuated to Tengah Medical Centre in an ambulance about 10 minutes away where doctors continued medical attention.

Private Foo was then taken to the National University Hospital and arrived at 7.45am.
He was pronounced dead at 8.28am.

The Defence Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that a medical certificate dated September 28 was found in Private Foo’s personal bunk cupboard after his death. The medical centre had no documentation of his medical certificate.

The Defence Ministry said that he was supposed to rest from September 28 to 29 for "sprains and strains of the knee and leg", and to be given light duties for the subsequent four days. It is not known why Private Foo did not report his medical condition, but investigations are currently underway and a full report is expected in eight weeks.

Two other servicemen died during training in June this year, recruit Andrew Cheah fainted during a 2—kilometre walk and Officer Cadet Clifton Lam collapsed during training in Brunei. Private Foo is the third full—time National Serviceman to have died in camp this year.

Chairperson of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Defence and Foreign Affairs Indranee Rajah, who is also the MP of Tanjong Pagar GRC, said: "Obviously it needs to be studied more deeply and carefully, but to me, it does seem to me that before anybody goes in for NS, the preconditioning is important.

"And as far as possible, from secondary school, all the way to the time they enter National Service for BMT (Basic Military Training), it’s important that the levels of fitness should be maintained."

The polytechnics that were contacted said they have many sporting activities in place for students.
Singapore Polytechnic says an estimated 15 per cent of total student population take part in sports. Half of its 2007 graduating cohort sat for the National Physical Fitness Award tests, an increase from 35 per cent in the previous year.

The government claim that all three were former students at polytechnics where physical activities are not compulsory, unlike junior colleges where exercise is part of the curriculum.

Hum...I really wonder why they took so long to send him to the hospital. However, I felt that the government should pay respect to the death and their family, instead of pushing the blames to the polytechnics or arrow here and there. No doubts, school has always been promoting studies in order for students to be graduate. So that the students will have a better opportunity in future. Pin-pointing can't solve the roots of it problems.

I believe that every Singaporeans have committed and contributions to our nation. Enforcement of NS, specially for males, we has participate ourselves in the 2years NS and following reserves.

When the moment step into the society, we need to contribute with our earning to all the taxes, 7%GST, Income Tax, CPF, etc.. so on.. to the wealth of our nation. Somehow, I just don't understand why our government has always demand so much from fellow citizens.

Increase of 21% in electricity bills

There will be an increase of 21% in the electricity bills in the last quarter of this year. Starting from 1 October 2008.

The average electricity tariffs from October to December would go up by 5.38 cents per kilowatt per hour. The Energy Market Authority (EMA) said the increase is due to higher fuel oil prices.

The average monthly electricity bills look set to rise by S$5.70 to S$22.92 for those living in 1 to 5 room public housing flats.

For those living in the 1 to 3 room flats, this works out to an increase of between S$90 and S$223 in electricity bills for this year.

Although, the EMA claim that the government’s U—save rebates of S$310 to S$330 will help to offset the increases in utilities bills for 1, 2 and 3 room HDB flats. But for 4 room HDB households, the increase to the bill size for this year would be marginally higher than the U—save rebate given, and for those entrepreneurs who are struggling in their business, will also be greatly affected. Their business costs will generally be increase too.

However, the authority said that if the forward fuel prices come down next month, the electricity tariff from January to March 2009 will be reduced accordingly.

Meanwhile, the government had offered an Enhanced Growth Dividends that was given to almost every Singaporean. Whereby, it is on 1 October 2008 too, that we will be receiving the second installment of Growth Dividends of $200+.

Even though it may help to offset with the increases in utilities bills, but the 20% adjustment is still hefty for many people to bear with it. It also seems like the benefits given, will soon be taken back with the increase of electricity bills.

However, it is better than none. That's life.
