Government should consider ban on cigarettes

Our government has already banned smoking in air-conditioned buildings including restaurants and workplaces, and had extended to hawker centres, air-conditioned karaoke lounges and nightclubs from July 2007. It also has raised the tax on cigarettes and packets bear shocking photos of the harmful effects of smoking.

The NEA smoking ban has extended further into many locations including like playgrounds, exercise areas, multi—storey, basement car parks, lift lobbies, non air—con shopping centres, and a distance of five metres from the property’s entrance or exit by January 2009. However, base on my point of view, I felt that our government should consider ban on cigarettes.

The facts : An example if our total population is 4,000,000, estimated 30% are smokers, that would be 1,200,000 are smokers. While the taxes on cigarettes are relatively more than 100%, assuming smokers would buy a pack of cigarettes daily, so simply by multiply the figures, and that will generate a huge sum of revenue profits for our government daily.

According to a recent article reported, it's shown that below 20% of our population smokes. However, i recalled during the times when i was in NS, 95% of my company were smokers. Smokers were mostly guys in the past, but nowadays, I can see that there are increasing of female smokers. So it is definitely more than 20%.

I assume that almost all smokers are aware of smoking would cause bad health and harm others. Basically, not all smokers are inconsiderate or bad people, they are ordinary Singapore fellow citizens too and have contributed in any ways to our society. Hence, there shouldn't be discrimination or criticism.

As far as the government concerns, government wants revenue, but on the other hand, has apply new restriction on smoking. That's really doesn't sound tally, it's also inappropriate. If that's the case, why not just simply ban selling of cigarettes, just like the old days banned the chewing gum. So it will solve smoking problems once and for all, and that would be no more troublesome, no more complains, no more restrictions, no more littering problems regarding cigarettes butts, etc. Which also means that no more revenue for the government. lol. :) peace

my lovely pi pi & mi Xmas eve 8D

It was Xmas eve, My lovely pi pi & mi were off. My pi pi happened to see a TV program advertising about the newly revamped Liang Court with many new shops. So we decided to check it out.

Aw... it was disappointing, we found that it wasn't much as what the TV program mentioned. Indeed there are many new shops, with F&B, Furniture, Party World, Audio House, etc. But it's doesn't suit for our shopping impact.

We quickly left Liang Court and headed towards Suntec. On the way, we stop by at Peninsular shopping Centre, and mi in passing to look for any Converse shoes that fits my pi pi. Mi personally like this shopping mall, it is likewise with the old days in Far East Plaza. The appearance is old, but many fashionable shops inside. The building mainly cater for guys wear, shops are selling tee-shirts, Skinny jeans, Dickie's Bags, Converse, Nike, Adidas shoes, guitars, skateboarding, skate wear & etc many many.

Eventually, we happened to find a only pair of Converse shoe that was size 3 among all the shops. But the plum color of the shoe wasn't ideal for my pi pi, and furthermore the shape of the shoe was relatively awkward. It's just doesn't seem like Converse. So that's the case, we went on to suntec.

Then my pi pi & mi been to City Hall, City link and lastly we reached Suntec City. There is a Converse shop in Suntec, and perhaps it was my last chance to get a pair of converse for my pi pi before Xmas.

All these while, we had been to many converse shops around Singapore, and i thought that the results will be the same again, with no sizes for my lovely pi pi. To my surprise, phew, finally my pi pi Xmas present was fulfilled at last minute. My lovely pi pi picked the Converse Kid's All Star White/Neon Pink, and luckily they had size 3. Wow.. yeah. 8D

Yeah, my pi pi claimed that this is her first Converse shoe she had. Wow, luckily i manage to bought it for my pi pi. I'm happy for my pi pi. Love ya pi pi. 8D. Happy Xmas.

As the night was coming, we drop by to have our Xmas eve dinner at Suntec. We had agreed to have a special evening dinner on Xmas eve from our normally "money saving" dinner. Ha ha.. So we roamed around the Suntec fountain where there are many restaurants.

We had suggested to try out the new restaurants that we haven't been to. A few minutes later, we decided to have our dinner at Ichiban Boshi. It's a Japanese cuisine, sushi restaurant.

My lovely pi pi & mi picked 2 set meals. Mi chosen the Xmas set meal, beef with special sauce. grilled tofu, mushroom, squid with broccoli cheese, salmon don, chawanmushi and miso soup, log cake and mocktail. WOW !!!, my lovely pi chosen a cod fish set, comes with black pepper grill cod fish, miso soup, chawanmushi , mushroom rice, fruits. Yummy... 8D

Eventually, the food was great. My pi commented that the cod fish was very fresh and tasty. Ya, i agreed it was nice. Mine too, very tasty too. We share share our food we had, hehe.. Yeah. we really enjoyed our Xmas eve dinner. Haha ... 8D After dinner, we took a bus ride headed back home.

Mi want to buy converse shoe for my lovely pi pi Xmas present 8D

My lovely pi had been wearing this black low-top converse shoe for quite sometime.
It is wearing off soon. Since Xmas is around the corner, so mi intended to get a new pair of converse shoe for my lovely pi pi as a Xmas present.

During our off day, my pi pi & mi had gone to converse shops at orchard, tampines & bugis.
But my pi unable to find the size for her. All those converse shops we been, there is no size 3.
The only size 3 are the kids sizes.


my lovely pi eventually wanted to get red or black, but no sizes for her. The smallest size that they have is size 3.5. So my pi pi left with no options but to chose the converse kids.

However, largest size for kids is 3, but after my pi chosen the design, no size 3 available again. Hai ~


After all that, my lovely pi happened to see this Cupcakes Converse kids on the Internet (picture shown above). It has stated that size 3 available. This design was not found at any converse shops in Singapore.

Although it maybe troublesome to buy on the net, and furthermore it's shown available at US. It's also takes time to ship to Singapore and may not reach in time for my pi Xmas present.

However, i really wish i could get it for my lovely pi pi as a Xmas present. Anybody have any ideal that happen to see this design in Singapore ?? please inform mi as soon as possible. Many thanks.

If not, i gonna order this design through net. I suppose they would have size 3 for it. Wish mi luck.

Wah... recently my lovely pi pi & mi had been playing Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition Free @ Pogo.com. We didn't touch Maple since than.

After we back home from our work, we login Pogo.com to play Monopoly. Eventually, it is quite fun, and my pi pi & mi always play within the same table against computer.

He he... 8D, in fact, we always win and my pi pi is always the biggest winner for every games. We always bully bully computer, they always ended up last or bankrupt. Lol, ha ha... really very funny.

Xiaxue is pathetic and sickening

Recently, I happened to read a newspaper which reported about Xiaxue comments on Obama election. She had wrote many of her own personal thoughts regarding Obama election on her blog. Many people from around the world had commented on this particular issue.

It's had drew my curiosity to look into her blog. Well, i personally felt that she shouldn't had done that. I felt that since she had become a popular blogger, every issues she wrote means a lots to the whole community. There will be influence, educating, affections, etc to the readers. By rights, she must has the responsibility for those articles whatever she wrote on her blog, because the fact is , there are many people reading about it.

There were many scenarios, through those articles that she written on her blog, her intentions and reflection whereby I felt that she is pathetic, disgusting and sickening. Her impression given to me was totally very bad. I don't wanna mention into details, everyone has their own thoughts. Well, that's about it.

mi cook minestrone soup for my pi pi ... : (

Last night, mi cook minestrone soup for my pipi. I bought celery, tomatoes, onions, carrots, cabbages, lettuce and margarine from Sheng Siong.

I cuts the onions, celery, carrots , tomatoes into small pieces. Then heat up some margarine in a stock pot, add celery, carrots and onions. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring with a chopstick occasionally.

I was cooking alone in the kitchen while my lovely pi pi was in the bedroom doing the MapleStory patch. My pi pi suddenly went to the kitchen and was surprise that why the prejo sauce container was empty.

I actually used up the whole bottle of prejo, i asked my pi pi to try tasted. "Eeeee..... why it is taste exactly like tomato sauces, it very sticky, it doesn't look like a soup at all." my pi pi sounded.

Wah.... : ( Omg I fail.... Later on, after it finish boiling, we pour some portion and add some hot water with it. Add pepper and stir it with the hot water.. Sob Sob... Grrr..... sad. Minestrone soup had became tomato sauce...

My pi & mi go Ngee Ann City to watch the Subaru Impreza Challenge 2008

Last night, my lovely pi & mi went to Ngee Ann City after work. We knew that there is an event of the MediaCorp Radio Subaru Impreza Challenge 2008 going on. So we went there to watch the eager contestants battle it out in a test of endurance to win the new Subaru Impreza WRX.

The MediaCorp Radio Subaru Impreza Challenge 2008 started on Saturday 8 November 2008 at the Ngee Ann City plaza. There is a large crowd gathered in front of Ngee Ann City, it was day 3 already, and only a few contestants which about 15 are left with their hands on Subaru.

The contestants have to spend waiting to be the only one with their hands on the Subaru to be the winner of the brand new turbocharged Subaru Impreza WRX 2.5L with manual transmission that worth $80,000.

my pi pi angry mi : (

Last night, I had gone out to my house nearby coffee shop to meet my friend. My friend called mi up and had urgent matters to discuss with mi regarding work. I had notify my pi pi for this matters.

But my pi pi keep misunderstanding mi that i had went out to play with my friends. She was angry with mi. It's really trouble mi. When I had reached home, my pi don't even believe mi that i was at home le. I use my house phone to call my pi, to prove that I was at home and to let my pi has a peace of mind. But my pi is still angry..... : (

I'm upset. I'm totally faithful to my pi pi. I just hope my pi pi will understand.... T_T

Today is my pi pi 老婆 off day. I also had taken the same off day with her. So i can pei her, he he... : )

In the afternoon, I went to my pi pi 老婆 house and cook Maggi mee with vegetables and egg for her. It was Maggi goreng favor. My pi pi 老婆 also help out with the cooking, she put the oil and sauces into the bowls. Soon, we had our lunch in my pi pi house.

We wash the bowls and cooking utensils after our lunch. Later on, we off to parkway parade. It has been a long time since we been there. My pi pi had a hand phone sharp 703sh placed at home for a long time, so i suggested we could resell it since my pi pi 老婆 is not using the phone anymore.

So we bring along the phone to parkway parade. There were many Hand phone shops around in that area. We asked these shops whether they take in this phone. But they prefer Sony Ericsson or Nokia phones rather than Japanese phones. Sad.... sob sob..

However, we went on into parkway parade. We were strolling along the shops, and my pi pi 老婆 stop by at Top shop. In the first place, my pi pi was looking at ladies clothing than we move in to men's sections.

There were many tee shirts on sales, so we look around. My pi pi 老婆 had chosen a yellow tee shirt for mi. It had a dog face printed at the front, very cute indeed. It was on sales at $19. And my pi pi 老婆 bought it for mi. Wah, i'm very touch, but i kept telling her not to buy, as we were on our saving project. But my pi said I had bought a hello kitty comb for her that day... Thank you my pi pi 老婆.

Later on, we actually intend to go Jack Place for dinner. But again, it was too expensive, so we had turn to Burger King for our dinner. I order a Whopper meal up size, while my pi had a Double mushroom Swiss meal. After that, we hang at Mc Cafe having mocha coffee for a while before we head for home. It was a pleasant day we have. 8D ...

Hopefully, Obama will really make changes to present situation, as what he said "Change Has Come" true!

He will be facing the economic and financial market crises. And the wars in Iraq, and in Afghanistan, etc. Tough challenge is ahead for him.

Mi bought a Hello Kitty folded comb for my pi pi 老婆

Today, I pei my 老婆 went to Takashimaya. Because her sister told her that there was a Hello Kitty fair at the basement 1 atrium.

My pi pi 老婆 was excited. When we reach at the atrium, " omg ! " there was nothing at the atrium ! there were some people clearing up the leftover, and it seems like a fair was just ended.

But my pi pi 老婆 noticed that it was not held at the atrium, it was held inside the Takashimaya basement 1. We quickly rush ourselves into Hello Kitty fair. lol.

Wah, There were lots of Hello Kitty stuffs, clothing, cups, tee shirts, soft toys, pouches, card holders, school bags, photo albums, toothbrushes, Drawers, even cooking utensils, etc... many many...

My pi pi 老婆 was happily browsing around. Later on, my pi pi happened to see combs at the accessories section, and wanted to get a comb for outdoor use. So my 老婆 was deciding on a Hello Kitty and a Melody folded comb. My pi pi 老婆 chosen a Hello Kitty folded comb, cute, cute.

Mi bought it for my pi pi 老婆 . But my pi pi had been concern and considerate about our spending long ago. The comb cost $8.95. He he.. so is not to expensive. Anyway, just a small present for my pi pi today. I just want my pi pi 老婆 to be happy. 8D

my lovely pi pi tied a thread to my jeans

Today, I had meet up with my lovely pi pi. We had intended to go for work together. My pi pi noticed mi that I had been walking awkwardly. She realised that it was my jeans I'm wearing was too loose. I have to keep pulling up my jeans while walking. I was in a hurry and had forgotten to wear a belt for my jeans before I gone out of home.

Later on, we went to a nearby supermarket " Sheng Siong" which I needed to buy Shanghai Noodle from there. My lovely pi pi took a small thread and tied it at my jeans, just a small tie up between the ears of the jeans. Wow, it's helps.

From there on, my jeans won't slip off. Once again, Thank you my lovely pi pi, very sweet of u. Love ya. 8D.
